The brand.

D. Louise is new to the space - it was launched in 2021, although the inspiration for its existence extends back to 2017.

That was when founder Olivia Jenkins’ mother sadly passed away, although her mother’s passing drove Olivia to follow her passion and devote her life to a business that honoured her memory.

And so the brand was born. A brand literally named after Olivia’s mother Deborah Louise, but also one focussed on providing better jewellery for everyone.

Olivia was frustrated with jewellery that discoloured with time or when getting wet and she was certain there was a better way.

After a period of research, she set about developing jewellery made from 361L stainless steel, a complex metal that never tarnishes and is easily recyclable.

Furthermore, she developed a new LifeGuard coating process which is 10x stronger than traditional plated jewellery and will never fade over time. 

In D. Louise’s own words; ‘the result is beautiful, timeless jewellery that is high quality, long-lasting, yet affordable.’

The snag.

It seems the public has noticed. 

Since its Covid lockdown launch, D. Louise has amassed thousands of orders and attracted the attention and investment of ex-Gymshark CEO Steve Hewitt. 

However, building a brand isn’t easy and D. Louise found itself needing to adapt behind the scenes to keep up with demand.

Ahead of an expected Black Friday and Cyber Monday rush in 2023, the team wanted to solidify their order fulfilment offering to customers with a 3PL upgrade.

The choice was Bleckmann, but the turnaround time was tight. Which is where HighCohesion comes in. 

The target was for the new 3PL to be in place within two months, but with that timeline and little tech support on the brand side, it was a tough task.

In addition, D. Louise was looking to strengthen its returns solution by integrating ReBound and helping provide its customers with robust and seamless transactions that build trust.

D. Louise needed a partner to navigate it towards a potentially transformational Black Friday and Cyber Monday it had in its sights.

Once there was mutual agreement we initiated the build phase, connecting the firm’s Shopify store with its new Bleckmann 3PL and ReBound returns logistics partners. 

Then we began an intensive period of testing to ensure that once it was time to go live, D. Louise wouldn’t be left in the lurch chasing up fixes rather than focusing on growth,

This entire process took HighCo just six weeks - well within target and with very positive feedback from D. Louise’s loyal following. 

HighCo was able to provide reliable, robust integrations live with Bleckmann very quickly with little input required from the end user.

It allowed D. Louise to switch 3PLs to Bleckmann rapidly and power their growth strategy.
